CENTRAL NEWS WEEK 44-46

Message from the Director

Life is a blessing. If you are reading this, it means that you are one of the greatest blessings of my life.

THANK YOU!

In the book of Revelation in chapter 7 it is said that the Angeles prostrate themselves and adore God saying: "...Blessing and glory and wisdom, Thanksgiving and honor and power and might, Be to our God forever and ever. Amen.”" Revelation 7:12 NKJV

Last week we celebrated Thanksgiving. So I've been thinking about what I'm grateful for.

I am happy and grateful to God because I am his son, I am a servant of Jesus Christ and I am filled with the Holy Spirit.

I am grateful for all the important people in my life. I wrote a list and at the top are the people on the Central Team. Aila, Diogo, Carlos, María, Alfredo, Elenita, Dion y Naty, Carito, Leo y Emi.

Also you are among those first places on my list. That is why this letter has come to you. I am grateful that we are a family of brothers in Christ and I felt it was important to tell you.

I thank the Lord for connecting us because I think it's for a good reason. I think you are exceptional. That's why I respect and appreciate you very much.

As you know, CENTRAL is not a business or an undertaking. Neither a good idea or a pilot plan. This is a MISSION. One that the Lord commissioned me, to extend the kingdom of heaven where Jesus has never yet been named. And I am grateful that we share the same vision.

I am not different from you, I don't have a higher intelligence either, but I have the wisdom and guidance that others have given me including you. This has given me special and unique opportunities for personal and spiritual growth.

Everything we do at CENTRAL is... Give by grace what we have received by grace. All the wisdom and practical advice... those that others have given us and those that the Lord has allowed us to learn from our own experience.

All the guidance and support we receive from our mentors and disciples. Especially when we needed it most.

Those are the materials that we are using... To build the ministry that we are preparing together! And for that I am grateful.

It doesn't matter where you are reading this letter... Feeling blessed and grateful, or distressed and frustrated.

You have to know that you are loved. First by God and for many more (I'm sure) and me.

I believe that you are extraordinary, special, exceptional and it is an honor for me to serve together.

Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your journey.

With love,

-Agustin

CENTRAL

Connections in Visit to Bangkok

An unexpected date... Agus on a visit to Bangkok for personal reasons, upon arriving for breakfast at the "Alliance home" we were pleasantly surprised. A Ministry in Chomburi (Thailand province) where an American worker from Mexican parents was giving an orientation course to a family of Latino background that had just arrived in Thailand. We exchanged contacts and soon we will visit his ministry.

Connection in Nepal

At that same breakfast at AMH, we also met Silvia, a Chilean worker who serves in Nepal with her husband. We went to ECB's Sunday service together and greeted Pablo, the church's Chilean pastor, who shared a powerful message on attitude and spiritual maturity. We will keep in touch for a visit to Nepal next year.

CIT and SIL Mentoring

Every missionary (cross-cultural worker) needs a mentor. A consistent and reliable source of guidance. Cary has been an excellent mentor to us, we continue our conversations and discussions about the different aspects to take into account for the development of a training program for new Latino workers who come to the field to reach the least of the world. Please at this time lift up a prayer for Cary, for his full recovery from surgery on his vertebrae and that he can fully regain mobility in his hand. 🙏🏽

We also visit the SIL Director with whom we share ideas and strategies for service. We learned a lot about the currently global situation within language ministries.

RACI: Responsable, Accountable, Consulted, Informed.

CENTRAL ACADEMY

MOU preparation with EoP

We continue in conversations for drafting the MOU for the collaboration between CENTRAL and Eagles of Peace. We are looking for the best way to complement each other for the service to the least reached ethnic groups by providing the acclimatization service in the ABC (Asia Base Camp), Equipping for cross-cultural work in Asia and member care.

INNOV-ASIA

Brochure in Spanish

The brochure in Spanish for the 2023 summer team is ready. Here you can review the complete information of the cultural appreciation program that we will start next summer.

Interview with new candidates

The interviews began with the candidates interested in the Innov-Asia summer program who will begin their mentoring process in missions. A couple from Mexico have shown great interest. We ask for your prayers so that the Lord opens the doors so that they could live an excellent experience.

MOU preparation with TEAM

In our meeting with the TEAM's Asia director here in Chiang Mai we talked about the different ways our ministries intersect and how we can collaborate together. This is a quick view of the vision of each ministry:

MEMBER SUCCESS

Worker's timeline on Miro board

Our meetings with Diogo (Central's Member Success Director) have produced a cross-cultural worker timeline pointing the critical care points (CCP). Thanks to this, we are planning to prepare a toolkit contextualised to Spanish and Portuguese that will be useful in each of those critical points where the worker needs care in their own language.

LIBERTAD

Leadership transition

We thank God for all the help and service that Dion and Naty have put into starting the movement of intercession for the least of the earth. They translated the presentations from each of the 31 largest least-reached people groups into spanish and very diligently led the weekly meeting successfully setting the example of how to lead the ministry.

The time has come to prepare new leaders to continue the movement and for this, week after week, new facilitators are jumping into the water to present the ethnic groups and continue to intercede. We ask for your prayers that the Lord will raise up leaders of pure focus, commitment and sheer will to take responsibility for continuing the movement.

LIBERTAD's system development

We are in the last stage of development of Libertad's system, with the descriptions of each role necessary for the movement and the materials needed to run the freedom intercession meetings. This will help give continuity to the movement and empower new leaders who can apply the system and thus send arrows of light (prayers) to the darkest places on earth.

LANGUAGES

New translations for military and police ministry.

We continue the work of translating materials for the Bless our Cops Ministry from the Philippines. On this occasion, we have been entrusted with the translation of the material: "Ministering to the Police and Military". We hope that this effort bears fruit for the glory of God.

Graphics translations for Joshua Project

Spanish translation of several Joshua Project mobilization materials are ready. The "Asian circle", "world ethnic groups", "the big picture", "the 31", "the remaining task", "the great commission" and "5 achievements, 5 challenges", among others are ready to deliver and hopefully soon upload to the Joshua Project page. This is one of them:

ASIA BASE CAMP (ABC)

Visit of Latin American Youth for a short mission in Chiangmai.

We hosted at the Latin house 3 young people who came from the United States. 2 of them with a Latino background. We enjoy speaking in Spanish, talking about our concerned Latina mothers and life in missions. We share unique times, we pray for them and we bless them in their mission.

Soccer world cup opening projection

A important part of our Latino culture is expressed in futbol soccer. Now that the Qatar 2022 World Cup began with the Qatar-Ecuador match, we prepared an event at the Latino house to to watch the opening match. We prepare "colada morada" and "empanadas de viento" to enjoy the game together.
