MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR
“Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.” Joshua 1:8
When we look for the "success" of the world we find that there are many advisors, mentors and coaches. But none of them recommends us to look in the Bible for the answer.
“You can have goals or dreams to achieve, but you will never feel complete unless you walk and achieve the goals for which you were created. You are created on purpose and with a purpose. God has specific goals and dreams for your life. The moment you manage to synchronize with Him and make his goals for you, your own goals, you will be fulfilling your purpose. ” -Agus Reino
I wrote this more than a year ago as the beginning of the Bible study for the new Latino workers who will come to CENTRAL, but this week that we read it in our team meeting it touched my heart.
We have to be brave in what really matters. Let's seek this week to read, meditate and apply the word of God every day.
-Agustin
LIBERTAD, Training and calling
We have now completed the first round of praying and interceding for the 31 largest least-reached people groups in the world. Many of the brothers and sisters who have remained faithful by attending every Monday to our intercession meeting received training on how to facilitate LIBERTAD meetings, the different roles and their functions. At the end we made a call so that the people whom the Lord is calling to serve with us in this ministry can join the movement.
Mentoring with CIT
Once again we had a very good mentoring session as we continued to evaluate the questions in the questionnaire that CIT gave us about the aspects of the heart, mind and skills needed in a cross-cultural worker.
We talked mainly about how to practically equip in spiritual disciplines, passion and knowledge of God's mission.
We are going to continue preparing ourselves by evaluating and seeking the best ways to prepare, equip, and train new Latino workers so that their service will be fruitful for the kingdom.
Team Meeting: Introduction to the study of Acts and letters from the Apostles
This week at our team meeting we learned about God's steps for success. We remember what: reading, meditating and applying the word of God should be our priority and we must make an effort and be brave in not leaving it any day.
For this reason, this week we started the Bible study of the book of Acts and the letters of the apostles, which is the first study material that was prepared since last year to follow along with the new Latino trans cultural workers who are going to come to CENTRAL to be equipped.
Connection with “Río Grande” Seminary
We had a meeting with the director of finances and professor of world religions from Rio Grande Seminary located in Texas, which trains believers from all over Latin America in Spanish.
It was a pleasant surprise to learn that currently around 1/3 of the students are Ecuadorian.
We explore possibilities of service together, and we invite them to be part of our intercession meeting from LIBERTAD.
